Bahahahahahaha! Self's main man, Matt Mahaffey, scoured toy stores to find just the right sound for his newest creation, Gizmodgery. It was recorded entirely with toy instruments, noisemakers and other knickknacks - no 'real' instruments were used in the making of this CD! Using his Mattel Star Guitar, Playschool Busy Guitar, Schoenhut Toy Piano, Micro Jammer Drums and various toy cell phones and other toys, Matt created a fun, and surprisingly enjoyable collection of tunes. Made with the stuff kids play with, but made for those a bit more mature, this CD actually comes with a parental advisory for explicit lyrics. Be sure to listen to the cover of the Doobie Brothers' "What a Fool Believes." You'll never listen to the music of the original the same way again!
